I believe deeply in the power of therapy and in our ability to integrate life’s challenges into new, healthier ways of being. I approach my work as a warm, creative, affirming, and direct therapist, grounded in the belief that personal growth is a collaborative process rooted in care and free from judgment. As a parent myself, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to the work.
I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating a wide range of life experiences, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, major life transitions, shame, and negative self-talk that impacts their ability to move forward. I have particular experience supporting individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns, as well as those feeling stuck in patterns of thinking, relationships, or behaviors that no longer serve them.
I enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, face cognitive or executive functioning challenges, or are working to rebuild a sense of safety, identity, and connection in their lives. My approach integrates evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and Narrative Exposure Therapy, which supports individuals in integrating difficult experiences into their life story and moving forward in healthier and more empowered ways.
I have specialized trauma training, am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and have experience working with first responders, individuals impacted by the criminal justice system, and individuals impacted by domestic violence. As a single parent, I also bring both lived experience and professional experience supporting individuals navigating domestic violence, parenting stress, relationship challenges, resilience, and major life transitions.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Portland State University and a Master of Public Health from New York University, and I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Oregon.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my children in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, caring for my horse Monte, working with animals, watercolors, gardening, and listening to my son’s belly laugh.
I am a CareOregon contracted provider and am also in-network with Moda and Trillium.
