Kellan Beckham MSW Therapist Intern
they/them
I believe we are all born with the ability to know our own needs and that therapy is a space where we can reconnect with ourselves and collaborate to build a life that feels manageable and meaningful. I aim for therapy to be a container in which we can explore all parts of yourself with non-judgment and curiosity. My approach is client-led, compassionate, direct, relational, and trauma informed. I have experience working with youth and adults experiencing major life changes, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and neurodivergence. I hope to build trust in the client-therapist relationship to create a space for you to share your truth, reflect, and find new ways of being that work for you.
I am motivated by my own experiences of grief and loss and navigating life as a neurodivergent, queer, and trans person. I draw from my values of social justice, authenticity, autonomy, and community. In my free time I like to spend time with my cats, absorb the magic of nature, play soccer, video games, and pursue my latest creative endeavor.
I am currently finishing my master of Social Work degree at Portland State University.
Please reach out with any questions or schedule a meet and greet to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
